A Trusted, Transparent Voice for Pound Ridge
Ron Asaro has been a full-time resident of Westchester County for 62 years, including the past six in Pound Ridge and is a registered Republican. He and his wife of 39 years reside in the historic Lewis Lockwood House—built in 1833 and recognized as one of the most notable and well-preserved homes in the Pound Ridge hamlet.
Ron brings a unique blend of precision engineering, fiscal discipline, and real-world leadership, forged during a distinguished 39-year career with GE Healthcare. In roles spanning service engineering, FDA compliance, sales management, and project oversight, Ron partnered with Manhattan’s leading academic medical centers to develop and deploy advanced medical technologies. He managed multimillion-dollar imaging projects and served as a key liaison between GE design engineers and hospital leadership.
Now retired, Ron applies his meticulous, results-driven approach to restoring classic sports cars and contributing to public service. He is a trustee of the Pound Ridge Historical Society for the past 5 years and played a key role in the completion of the video documentary “The Raid on Pound Ridge, NY 1779.” He also volunteered with the Tunison Foundation, helping maintain the WWII C-47 aircraft Placid Lassie in preparation for the 80th anniversary of the Normandy Landing. Ron is a regular presence at Town Board meetings, where he became deeply informed about the town’s operations ultimately inspiring him to get involved and help improve local governance.
Ron is running for the Pound Ridge Town Board to bring experienced, accountable leadership to town government.
Restoring Financial Integrity
Ron is committed to restoring trust in our town’s financial management by ensuring annual financial reports are filed on time and in full compliance with state requirements. He will implement clear reporting deadlines, promote transparency, and uphold strong fiscal accountability—bringing Pound Ridge back on track with responsible, timely financial reporting.
Supporting Our Seniors
Ron will prioritize reliable transportation, enhanced outreach, and expanded access to social services for Pound Ridge’s senior population.
Protecting Pound Ridge Elementary School
The Bedford Central School District is considering school closures due to declining enrollment—putting Pound Ridge Elementary at risk. Ron will lead efforts to oppose its closure through a Town Board resolution, the formation of a community task force, and regional collaboration to preserve the school and safeguard the long-term vitality of the community.
Responsible Infrastructure Management
Ron supports necessary infrastructure upgrades—but only with transparency, public input, and strict fiscal oversight. He supports that projects must include detailed, accurate financial plans and robust public engagement.
Government Accountability & Resident Engagement
Residents deserve a voice before decisions are made. Ron will advocate for early, open communication on all major issues, regular town forums, and clearly posted agendas.
Preserving Historic Character
As a Historical Society trustee, Ron understands that preserving Pound Ridge’s semi-rural character and architectural heritage is essential. He supports incentives, education, and ongoing aesthetic improvements to protect the town’s unique attributes.
A Commitment to Integrity and Results
Ron Asaro’s leadership style is grounded in integrity, transparency, and follow-through. As a Town Board member, he pledges to put residents first, speak truthfully, and govern with competence, accountability, and vision.
